If you're worried about being replaced by AI, you shouldn't be.
You won't be replaced by AI; you're going to be replaced by the guy or gal next to you who is leveraging AI as a tool to do the same work you do without the constraints of The Iron Triangle (i.e. - better, cheaper, AND faster).
First:
At the moment, AI tools can't do anything on their own. They require the guidance and prompting of humans.
Second:
Anytime you ask AI tools to "create," you get garbage back. If you want amazing results, you need to learn how to "feed" these tools great creative ideas, thoughts, feelings, descriptions, and more. Then use the tools to structure, iterate, and complete things.
This requires YOU, the human, to bring your creativity, your ideas, your uniqueness to the table.
Third:
AI tools are just that: tools. Nothing more. Tools are things created by and used by humans to make their tasks more leveraged and more efficient.
Every time we create new tools and use them as leverage to accomplish tasks, those tasks automatically take less human effort.
Think about the farmer who needed twenty adult workers in the past to plow his fields, who then gets a tractor, and now his 9-year-old son plows those same fields in less time.
This means that today, you and I don't have to plow fields to eat. We do different work and progress our society together. A better version of this story will be true of these tools because these tools are cheap, easy to learn, and widely available.
So everyone can use them to plow their creative fields and take all that extra time and put it towards their family, their community, their society… the real high-value work of our time.
So stop worrying about being replaced and instead ask yourself how you can use these tools to produce higher quality value for your community in less time and with less effort.
Then do it. And teach your kids to do the same.
Then take that extra time and go play a game with your kids. Go walk your dog. Go learn a new sport.
Go be human.

We've spent 20+ hours sitting next to each other, watching videos, playing with prompts, learning to create and design characters, and learning how to tell stories with images. This image represents hours of study and new skills that we both now have (and will continue to grow). It's a representation of a vision he had to learn how to craft with these tools. It took time, effort, and skill, and human creativity to get Zachary to an outcome that would have taken him years with traditional art mediums.
This is why people are losing their minds… the compression of time, effort, and costs to get better and higher quality results.
The image is Zachary as a lightning mage in the style of The Dragon Prince.

Crew, gather 'round. I got somethin' important to discuss with y'all. Seems like there's a heap of fuss about these AI tools that are gainin' popularity across the 'verse. Now, I reckon learnin' how to use these shiny gadgets can give us an edge over our competition, be it in business or just survivin' out here in the black.
First off, these AI tools ain't nothin' without us, folks. They need our guidance, our know-how, to do any good. By learnin' to use 'em, we stay ahead of the game.
Second, if we want these tools to create somethin' worthwhile, we gotta feed 'em the right stuff. That means usin' our own smarts, creativity, and unique ideas. We work with the tools, and they help us make our work better.
Now, these AI tools are just that: tools. Think of 'em like a wrench or a mule. They help us get the job done easier and more efficient-like. Remember the old story 'bout the farmer with the tractor? Made his life a whole lot easier, didn't it? That's what we're aimin' for.
By masterin' these tools, we can save time and energy on our jobs, leavin' us more time to enjoy life or help others. So, instead of fearin' that these AI tools might replace us, let's focus on usin' 'em to our advantage. We learn to use these tools now, and we'll be one step ahead of the rest.
Who knows? We might just create somethin' so amazin' it'll change the 'verse itself.
